Bouncy Egg Experiment
WATCH: How to make a bouncy egg.
TALK: Is it real? Why do you think so or think not? What do you think is inside the egg? What has the vinegar done to the egg? Is it cooked?
DO: Make a bouncy egg.
Test whether or not the bouncy egg experiment is true by making your own. Follow the steps in the video. How many days did it take? Was 24 hours enough or did it need longer? Did it work? What happens if you cut it open?
TIP: Add a drop or two of food colouring - does that change the experiment?
Day one bouncy egg experiment that did not work. sense I have left it in the fridge overnight I think the cold affected it so I'm putting it on the bench to today and tomorrow the update will be tomorrow
hopefully, it becomes bouncy
If you try The Experiment it might work for what vinegar liquid but we only have black and that they're so maybe that and fix it so your choice
Hi Hunter. I can remember doing this experiment at home many, many decades ago. I left the egg in a glass full of malt vinegar over night, then took it to school as some magic show. I bet the kids at school that I could get this whole egg into a glass milk bottle with out breaking it, which I could but I can never remember how I got the egg out of the milk bottle. LOL. Its amazing how the acid of the vinegar changes the molecules of the egg shell. Do you know why the shell transforms into a rubbery bouncy form? Its been great seeing you use the blog page again and I can see how you've grown and developed over the year at school. I hope Lock down has been good for you. You certainly have been busy posting here. Keep it up, its great to see.
