Sea turtle

When the adult mother washes up on shore ready to lay her eggs she goes up high on to the beach and 50 to 200 eggs are  laid  in the Nest She covers up the nest with scent 6 weeks later the eggs hatch but 20% of them don't

When do turtles come out of the sand they face many predators like seagulls and crabs and other things they small enough to put in your palm of your hand It is very hard for the baby turtles to get to the sea .

The trudles go and find Shelter in the seaweed when do turtles come up to breathe seagulls ready to eat them It takes 20 years for them to get  adulthood.

When the turtles get to adulthood the most common predators killer whales and sharks, When do girls get pregnant they go up on to the beach middle high dig a hole put the x in it men walk off .

Four Seasons

This week we have been doing some art we have made the Four Seasons on a tree With pastels thick effect on the colour on paper And so this is how it looks

I found it sore and hard on my wrist when I was colouring and the Four Seasons but when it was done I thought I was good

How scissors work.

1.Grab hold of the scissors handles. 2.Squeeze the handles then them pull up 3.Improve your thing that you want to get any squeezed out and then you cut a piece of paper. Scissors are sharp metal blades on a rubber handle and can be used cut paper and other things. Scissors are to be used with cushion and in adult supervision.

When we got to school we went into class and did the roll we walked out to the hangi Pit. When we got there the dude what was doing it was explaining to us how it worked the middle and the would had to be white.

Later we went back a week and they wait for fire to make Steam and cabbage leaves .

Can I lower the food into the fire and there were three big basket.

They put a Tarpaulins and Dirt  over it to keep the steam in to cook the food .

3 hours later we gotta eat the hangi  I thought it was alright it was a bit juicy

Chinese New Year Traditions

Different parts of China have very different traditions. The following are the most typical:

New Year's Eve Dinner

The New Year's Eve dinner is the most important dinner for the Chinese. Normally, this is the family reunion dinner, especially for those with family members away from home. During the dinner, normally fish will be served. Dumplings are the most important dish in Northern China. These two dishes signify prosperity. Other dishes are dependent on personal preference. The majority of Chinese will have New Year's Eve dinner at home instead of a restaurant.

Fireworks

Fireworks are used to drive away the evil in China. Right after 12:00PM on New Year's Eve, fireworks will be launched to celebrate the coming of the New Year as well as to drive away the evil. It is believed that the person who launched the first firework of the New Year will obtain good luck.

Shou Sui

Shou Sui means "after the New Year's Eve dinner" as family members will normally stay awake during the night. Some people just stay up until the midnight after the fireworks. According to tales and legends, there was a mythical beast named the "Year". At the night of New Year's Eve, the "Year" will come out to harm people, animals, and proprieties. Later, people found that the "Year" is afraid of the color red, fire, and loud sounds. Therefore, at the New Year's Eve night, people will launch fireworks, light fires, and stay awake the whole night to fend off the "Year".

Red Packets

The Red packet is a red envelope with money in it, which ranges from one to a few thousand Chinese Yuan. Usually the red racket is given by adults, especially married couples, and elderly to young children in the New Year days. It was believed that the money in the red packet will suppress the evil from the children, keep them healthy, and give them a long life.

New Year Markets

In the course of the New Year's days, a temporary market will be setup to mainly selling New Year goods, such as clothing, fireworks, decorations, food, and small arts. The market is usually decorated with a large amount of lanterns.

Small Year

Small year is the 23th or 24th of the last month of the year. It is said that this is the day the food god will leave the family in order to go to heaven and report the activity of family to the Emperor of the heaven. People will follow religious ceremony to say farewell to the food god, including taking down and burning the paint of the food god. After the New Year's Day, people will buy new paint of the food god and display it in the kitchen.

Cleaning

A few days before the Chinese New Year, people will do a complete cleaning of the house and house wares which signifies to remove the old and welcome the new. Historically, when bathing did not occur often, people would normally take one to welcome the New Year.

Decoration

After the cleaning, people will decorate the house to welcome the New Year. Most of the decorations are red in color. The most popular New Year decorations are upside down fu, dui lian, lanterns, year paint, papercutting, door gods, etc.

Robotics

Over ten weeks in Robotics. I have been learning to programmed the EV3's to move. First I learnt to make the robot go forward in a straight line. Then I had to learn how to programmed it to stop at a certain point. We had listens like how to program it and turn it around. We did it and made it turn. We have photos and a video of it and it is really cool. First we got a mac book and had to sign in with google. Next we had to make a thing and make a name, how to program it and make it pick up the rubbish. Then we finished the stuff. We had fun doing this.Over ten weeks in Robotics. In the next week or so I will be making people's
day I'm going to make the teachers day by taking
her coffee cup to the office and saying
good morning and I want to be helping other people.

I think we should ban plastic bags because they're killing marine life
and other creatures.

The most favourite thing that Turtles like to eat is jellyfish,

Plastic bags take 600 years to decompose in the ocean. In the year 2050 there will
be more plastic bags in the ocean then sea creatures
so when they die 50% of oxygen will disappear.

There is too much plastic in the world. Every
year New Zealand produces enough plastic to smother it twice.

3 million plastic bags are being thrown out every day in New Zealand.

1000 Turtles at dying everyday.   Don't let Sea creatures die!

sustainability

Today we have learnt More about sustainability And  the pollution on the earth.

We blow up  to respect the earth .If we use a sustainable  action We eat air Out .If we use a non sustainable action We put air in To slow the pressure on the earth .

My Balloon got bigger and bigger it changed because I polluted more.

One small thing I can do to help sustain the earth is I don't use Glad Wrap anymore since it takes 40 years to break down I will use sandwich bags which I've been doing for the past week

6 reasons why you shouldn't wear school uniform

Do you know Kids don't learn more in Uniform?  So I think we should be able to wear Mufti every day.

Firstly some’ People prefer their closed then school uniform.

It is more comfortable in their own, clothes and it helps express your feelings,

And help identify  People

It's too expensive for parents to buy the uniform .

teachers wear Mufti everyday and the principal.  So why can't kids wear Mufti every day?

Sustainability

This morning I learnt what it means to be more sustainable . A Small change I can make it more sustainable by banning plastic bags

This week we've been Writing About a picture but we had wrought 5 minutes before and  First we Wrote 5 minutes before And then we added the picture

And then 5 minutes  after .

We looked at A picture And thought carefully about it .We use a lot of reflective questions about the pictures .

1 snowy Sunday I leaped  out of my bed, And got my coat on and my boots I went outside to do, some ice skating “Look Bobby I'm skating down the road”

Finally I got to the lake I was skating on the lake suddenly “arrrr!”

5 hours later she comes back with hedge clippers. “cuts me down from the string” ”Ok”!   Plonk “Ouch mummy help me” 1 minutes later they were playing together and the snow .” Mum can we please have some ice cream”

 This week we've been learning about Kites.I learnt the biggest Kites in the world has to be held down by a tractor otherwise whoever's holding it or fly away . people all over the world make their own kites especially the multi they make kites for rituals and they use to make kites for telling the future like a field gonna win the war sonic whatever it was .

In Cybersmart t have been learning about being responsible with chrome books

In Cybersmart t have been learning about being responsible with chrome books. first we put our prior know on a padlet. then we buddied up and created a poster about being responsible with chrome books.

I found it hard with spelling and it was easy to find pictures.

I made the kite out of sticks and plastic. I created a plan then copied it onto the plastic. I used red, blue and green vivid on the plastic and gold and green bows for the tail. I am really happy with my kite that looks really amazing.
