When we got to school we went into class and did the roll we walked out to the hangi Pit. When we got there the dude what was doing it was explaining to us how it worked the middle and the would had to be white.
Later we went back a week and they wait for fire to make Steam and cabbage leaves .
Can I lower the food into the fire and there were three big basket.
the first one head pigheaded and the least Had heaps of food.
They put a Tarpaulins and Dirt over it to keep the steam in to cook the food .
3 hours later we gotta eat the hangi I thought it was alright it was a bit juicy
Some good ideas of what is involved in a Hangi, Hunter. I think you need to proof read your writing before you publish it though. I saw the photos on South Hornby's FB pg. It looked like a lot of fun. I'm not to keen on Hangi food but would eat it if I was hungry. Is the whole school having a Kai Karakai (blessing of thanks before eating) in the second photo?
